Is a generic OBD2 scan the same as SDD / Pathfinder diagnostics?

No. An OBD2 scanner only reads emissions-related faults. A modern Jaguar has dozens of control units. JLR SDD / Pathfinder reads all of them, runs live data, actuates components on demand and does coding and programming — the same as a main dealer.

Is a Jaguar warning light always serious?
